Vesta Preston (Times Record) FAYETTEVILLE — Vesta June Preston, 80, of Fayetteville died Friday, Sept. 28, 2007, in Siloam Springs. She was born May 8, 1927, in Winslow. She was a homemaker, a waitress at Skelly 71 Truck Stop and worked at Razorback Cleaners. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pense-Reed Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel of Fayetteville. She is survived by four daughters, Verda Pense of Mountainburg, Bertha Hester of Clarksville, June Scism of Siloam Springs and Ruby Johnson of Lowell; five sons, Dale and Delbert Preston, both of Fayetteville, Darrell Preston of Natural Dam, Doyle Preston of Siloam Springs, and Danny Preston of Van Buren; a sister, Violet Hall of Springdale; two brothers, Virgil Poor of Miller’s Chapel and Van Poor of Winslow; 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
